Its hard work so keep on practicing, stick to the technique and you'll get the move. Charlie Barber it's great to see your dancing starting to look cool!
Also hi to my energetic and crazy bunch of Year 1 and 2 at Holy Trinity. Always look forward to my Tuesday afternoons, well done to some top dancers Mary Edwards, Pearl Lewcock and Georgia Brooks who practice at home and remembered the routine all the way through, fantastic!

Big Dance
5 - 13 July 2008
From Strictly Come Dancing to Dirty Dancing; from Footloose to Flashdance, dance has never been more popular. Just last month, streetdancer George Sampson won Britain’s Got Talent, with another dance act, Signature as runners-up. Now it’s the chance of everyone in the South West to show off their favourite dance moves. As part of Big Dance week, on Sunday 6 July there will be professional dancers on the streets of Bournemouth, Chippenham, Christchurch, Devizes and Swindon asking people “What’s Your Dance?” and encouraging them to dance for up to 5 minutes. 5-6-7-8 is both the date of the event (5 minutes on 6/7/08) and also the traditional count-in to dance routines. There will be prizes of Big Dance T-Shirts and Big Dance Bags for the first 20 people who take part in Bournemouth, Chippenham, Christchurch & Devizes. 5-6-7-8 is the perfect way to get people dancing, whether they are in one of the featured towns, or just out and about locally or even at home. People are also encouraged to film their dances and put them on YouTube.
Schedule
Bournemouth 12pm-1pm Lower Gardens
Chippenham 2pm-3pm Town Centre
Christchurch 11am-12pm Quay Bandstand
Devizes 2pm-3pm Town Centre
Swindon 12 - 2pm Procession from Wyvern Theatre to Wharf Green
.
Details of the exciting programme of events will be released in early May. To ensure you get the information, please join the Dance South West mailing list via our website, selecting the ‘Big Dance’ category. Contributions from venues, dance companies, classes and participants are welcome on the Dance South West forum.
